Verse of the Day 10/04/09
John 7:37-38 (New International Version)
37On the last and greatest day of the Feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. 38Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him."

Okay I'm Baaaack!!
I know I was away for awhile, but I decided I should come back and grace these pages with my presence...har har har and all that crap. I will continue to find funny things to show you as I go around in my car on different excursions. I hope this day finds you well.
One thing I can share with you about my recent happenings is that I am starting to write a book. Yes I am trying my hand at the written word. It is still in the thought process, but it will be a thriller at best.
I am still looking for those funny stories so email me and let me know what is the haps. I would be happy to include you in the blog and give you full credit where it is due.
Well I am out to go catch up the book I have been neglecting for two weeks now. It is called The Host by the Twilight saga author; Stephanie Meier (sp?)

Matthew 11:28-30~ **photo credit - Humble Gift by Marie Elliot@DeviantArt
Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you shall find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.

This Week's Wiki
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A verse is formally a single line in a metrical composition, e.g. poetry. However, the word has come to represent any division or grouping of words in such a composition, which traditionally had been referred to as a stanza.
The word "verse" is commonly used in lieu of "poetry" to distinguish it from prose. Where the common unit of poetry, i.e., verse, is based on meter or rhyme the common unit of prose is purely grammatical, such as a sentence or paragraph.[1]
Contents[hide] |
[edit] Types of verse
[edit] Rhymed verse
Rhymed verse is the most commonly used form of verse and generally has a discernable meter and an end rhyme.
I felt a cleavage in my mind
As if my brain had split;
I tried to match it, seam by seam,
But could not make them fit.
The thought behind I strove to join
Unto the thought before,
But sequence ravelled out of reach
Like balls upon a floor.
-Emily Dickinson
[edit] Blank verse
Blank verse is generally identified by a regular meter, but no end rhyme.
In Mathematics, Woman leads the way:
The narrow-minded pedant still believes
That two and two make four! Why, we can prove,
We women-household drudges as we are-
That two and two make five-or three-or seven;
Or five-and-twenty, if the case demands!
-Princess Ida
[edit] Free verse
Free verse is usually defined as having no fixed meter and no end rhyme. Although free verse may include end rhyme, it commonly does not.
Whirl up, sea--
Whirl your pointed pines,
Splash your great pines
On our rocks,
Hurl your green over us,
Cover us with your pools of fir.
-H.D.
Wherever there is love, Forever lingers, Whoever the heart beats for, You'll know, Whenever I think of you, My heart flutters, Whenever I do. My heart slows, Wherever I am, You're always on my mind, Wherever I go I think of you, With each passing time.
